The Project
This week, we’re proud to feature our work at the Houston Racquet Club, where ECG Site Services provided erosion control solutions near their fitness center. By taking proactive measures now, the Houston Racquet Club is investing in the longevity and safety of their property—ensuring that both their facilities and natural surroundings remain protected for years to come.
Erosion Control comes with many benefits including:
Preserves landscapes & amenities – Prevents soil loss that can damage grounds, walking trails, and recreational areas.
Protects water quality – Keeps sediment from washing into nearby waterways, supporting a cleaner, healthier environment.
Safeguards infrastructure – Reduces risks to buildings, foundations, and utilities by preventing shifting soil and washouts.
Saves money long-term – Proactive control minimizes costly repairs down the line.
As we wrapped up our recent trip to Houston, we had the chance to see the completed work at HRC firsthand—and we couldn’t be prouder of the results. This project is a great example of how thoughtful erosion control protects both people and places.
Leadership In Action
We’re also celebrating leadership beyond our projects. Our COO has accepted the invitation to serve the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth Roadhouse Committee, an incredible organization that supports families with critically ill children by providing housing, meals, and a community of care during some of life’s hardest moments.
Joining the Roadie Committee is more than just a role—it’s a commitment to ensuring families can focus on what matters most: being together. We’re proud to see our leadership actively engaged in making a difference, both in the communities we build and the lives we touch.
Sponsoring Around Texas
Recently, our team headed to Houston for the annual Tellepsen Poker Tournament, benefiting the Buffalo Bayou Partnership—an organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing one of Houston’s most iconic waterways.
Our CEO, James, and Erik, General Manager of ECG Site Services, played a few competitive rounds while the rest of our team enjoyed connecting with fellow attendees and supporters of this great cause.
We were proud to sponsor this event and take part in something that gives back to the Houston community. While in town, our team also visited a few active and completed project sites, including our erosion control work at the Houston Racquet Club.
A big thank-you to Tellepsen for hosting such a fantastic event—great people, great cause, and great cards.

Networking Tips
1. Tip #1: Turn LinkedIn Likes to a Real Lunch
Digital likes are easy; in person lunches are rare. Once a month, convert one online connection into an in-person conversation. It’s amazing how fast deals move when there’s a handshake involved.
2. Tip #2: Leverage the Crossover Crowd
The best introductions often come from people adjacent to your world—lenders, civil engineers, even equipment reps. They hear about projects before they hit the street. Cultivate those “one step removed” contacts—they’re the early-warning system for opportunity.
3. Tip #3: Host Smaller Events
Sometimes the 300 person networking event doesn’t work for everyone. Finding smaller, more intimate events can lead to impactful connections at the event.
